I began writing to inmates in November of 2001 due to my daughter becoming incarcerated. She asked me to write to some of the women who were in jail and had no one to be supportive of them. After a few months of writing to these women I realized the need for a Christian pen pal ministry to encourage these women and share the love of Jesus with them. I began recruiting other Christian women to write to female inmates and the word and just spread! What a wonderful way to spread the Word!
We are looking to involve more churches nationwide who would be able to place PraisePal mailboxes in thier churches and have volunteer PraisePals as well as all individual help and sharing as well.
With each challenge we have encountered, we became stronger in our faith.
